Intimate La Quinta Micro-Wedding

Jenna + Andrew

When the original plan just feels right, you stick with it and adapt as needed. And let me tell you – I’m so glad Jenna and Drew stuck with their original plan of getting married in La Quinta, California because their day was so incredibly dreamy!

Jenna and Drew were supposed to get married on May 16, 2020. (You can read more about their story and their Livermore engagement session here.) They couldn’t have their original plan because of COVID shutdowns, so they postponed and began brainstorming their plan B. However, no other plan panned out or felt right. As more time passed and other doors closed, they came back to their original plan of getting married at the Hideaway Golf Club, but now it would be on April 11, 2021 which just so happened to be their seventh dating anniversary! It was a date that already held sentimental value. And friends – their day was perfect!

Jenna and Drew’s wedding ended up being an intimate event at the private residence of a family friend who lived within the Hideaway community. With the golf course views, infinity edge swimming pool, and modern decor, it felt like being at a luxurious resort! The architecture and interiors of the house also matched Jenna and Drew’s wedding style perfectly! Overall, the day was a very classy black and white affair with some retro-Hollywood flares. I mean, the classic convertible Corvette in and of itself gave me total James Bond vibes. I will be forever obsessed!

Jenna + Drew – I know this day came with mixed emotions. I know not having all your family and friends surround you on this significant day was a hard decision to make. But you handled the whole process with such grace. You remembered that the safety and well-being of others was most important. It has been such an honor to support you through this time, and to capture your special day! The amount of joy and ease you two displayed ended with timeless photos I believe you will treasure for a lifetime. Just as much as if 150 people were in attendance! Thank you so much for inviting me into this time with you and allowing me to witness such a beautiful and intimate day in your lives.

Palm Springs Wedding Inspiration

La Quinta is a town just outside of Palm Springs, and still offers many of the same attributes as the notorious vacation destination. Palm Springs is home to many stunning golf courses, luxurious resorts, and natural reserve parks filled with recreational opportunities. Between the desert views and vintage Hollywood influence, it is the perfect location for a wedding – and I’m here for it! Cactus, palms, mosaic tiles, modern architecture, bougainvillea and other vibrant florals! Every view sparks creative inspiration and demands to be photographed! For this reason, Palm Springs and any surrounding area is a wonderful place for weddings. You will undoubtedly be left with pictures people dream of when they envision a “California Wedding”.  Contact me if you’re dreaming about having your wedding in Palm Springs. I want to hear all about it and see if I would be a great fit to capture your day!
