Candace + Aaron
Sometimes all it takes is one look. One hand shake. One greeting. And your whole world could change for the better! That’s exactly what happened for Aaron and Candace! Aaron walked into a new church one morning, and left having had met his future wife! He immediately got plugged into a small group, which ended up being Candace’s mom’s group – at Candace’s house! After spending an evening together talking, laughing, and being peed on by her new puppy (so hilarious!), both of them knew! Both knew they wanted the other in their life. And from that moment on, they were joined at the hip!
Candace and Aaron have an authentic kind of love. It’s a kind of love most people spend their whole life searching for. However, for Candace and Aaron, it’s so natural! It looks so easy! They make each other laugh and smile, with or without words. One endearing look can set the other’s heart afloat! One touch is always reciprocated by the other. They’re each other’s safe place, and it’s so obvious how much peace and joy they bring to each other. When you see them together, you just know they’re meant to be together!
A Note to the Couple
Candace and Aaron, from the first moment I met you both, I knew your story was one I wanted to capture! Our first meeting at Starbucks will be one I’ll remember forever! You were both so giddy and excited to share your love story, and even more excited when we spoke about your future wedding and life together. I adore how you can both poke fun at each other and make each other laugh (so much sarcasm, and I love it!), but know exactly when to serve and support each other. You see each other for who the other person is, and I believe that’s one of the greatest foundations you could ever have as you begin this new journey as husband and wife. I hope you will always continue to see the other person the way you see them today, but learn to grow and accept them as you grow together in your marriage. I had so much fun getting to know you more during your Sacramento engagement session, and I can’t wait to capture your beautiful wedding day at The Pavilion at Haggin Oaks this fall! Sacramento Engagement Inspiration
Being the capital of California, Sacramento is rich in history but also has many attractions of a large metropolitan city. The art scene is growing and thriving, and it’s quickly making a name for itself in the farm-to-fork movement. It’s name as “The City of Trees” is rightfully earned! Most of their parks offer dozens of oak trees, biking and walking trails, as well as various plant and wildlife. We began Candace and Aaron’s engagement session at the Effie Yeaw Nature Center, which provided three nature trails and is home to both native and non-native plants and animals, including wild turkeys (Candace was VERY excited about the turkeys). The 100-acre natural preserve offers stunning views and amazing golden hour sunlight! Between the natural earth tones of this location and the muted pinks and blues in Candace and Aaron’s outfits, this engagement session made my photographer heart burst! I cannot wait to shoot at Effie Yeaw again soon!
